What we collect

• Contact details (name, email, phone, addresses) when you book or list.
• Booking details (pickup/delivery postcodes, job descriptions, dates).
• Payment card details (processed by Stripe — Fortis never stores card numbers).
• Messages exchanged on the platform between shippers and operators.
• Device and usage data (IP, browser, pages viewed) via standard cookies.

Why we use it

• To connect you with operators and process bookings.
• To run escrow and Fortis Cover claims.
• To meet legal obligations (VAT, anti-money-laundering checks).
• To improve the service (anonymised analytics).
• To send transactional emails (booking confirmations, dispute updates).

Who we share it with

The operator you book (name, collection/delivery details, job info). Our payments processor (Stripe). Our insurers (only when processing a Cover claim). HMRC where required by law. We never sell your data to third parties.

How long we keep it

Booking and payment records for 7 years (to meet tax and accounting rules). Account data until you ask us to delete it, which you can at any time.

Your rights

You can access, correct, delete, or export your data. You can object to processing or ask us to restrict it. Email privacy@fortislogistics.co.uk — we'll respond within one month.
